In 1999, APEX was hired by the U.S. Figure Skating Association to create a new logo for Skate America. The U.S. hosted this international event in Colorado Springs as part of the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating championship series. The patriotic design featured a pair of skating stars and swirling ice tracks. The competition was held October 27-31 at the Broadmoor World Arena and two-time Olympic medalist Michelle Kwan highlighted the event by capturing the Ladies’ Singles crown in front of her home fans.

During the project, APEX created event branding materials, venue signage, and other marketing support pieces. Needless to say, this was one of our coolest projects to date!
